It's also a preview for *tanabatablossom of her cherry blossom fractal. It isn't quite round enough for me to be convinced it's a cherry blossom so I'm still tweaking it. But, it is a pretty flower so I think it's appropriate for the quilt!
My Grandma fought breast cancer before her death in '91. When $Moonbeam13 did her walk this weekend, Grandma's name was on her shirt!
I hope all this awareness continues to have positive impacts so that soon no one will have to go through what Grandma Myrtle did.
