:bulletblue: Fractal Gallery DD's from February! :bulletblue:

New and improved and now in the correct week for the feature! :giggle: Life is still hectic around here, but I'm trying to be more on track with my schedule and hopefully I'll be able to keep up all month! :fingerscrossed: You can find the dA news article on the same subject and give it a happy little heart here!

Return by neonrauschen
Return by neonrauschen Like an event in space, Return is impossible to turn away from. Brilliant lighting, incredible reflection and shine, "stunning translucence," intriguing lines and composition, ~neonrauschen really knows what elements to bring together to draw the viewer in. Our suggester pays him the highest of compliments, "I wish I had created this!"

Altarian Badlands by dainbramage1 Tired of nothing but snow, snow and more snow; I cross the galaxy to find the exotic landscapes of the Altarian Badlands, filled with...more snow. Which is okay, because *mcimages has loaded this with incredible fractal detail and has shown an awesome aptitude for composition and focus. Be sure to check out the rest of his gallery for more terrific fractal shapes and a lot more color!

fractal trees by ka78 If you're wondering why the fractal GM is featuring a photo of a desert landscape, look a little closer at fractal trees by ~ka78. This terrifically realistic piece is made even better with outstanding shading, coloring and texturing. It's truly a wonder! Delve into his whole gallery, it is an amazing place to spend time.

Weird planet by bib993
Weird planet by bib993 Our suggester says of Weird planet, "Feels like staring into space from the moon, hoping for a chance to see a distant Earth somewhere. A suggestive view, charged with reminiscences of steampunk sci-fi scenery...and of Saint-Exupry's "The Little Prince" book cover. *bib993 is that rare creature, a fractal artist with a solo gallery exhibition, going on this month in Paris, France. He is new to our dA community but not to the art of fractals; please give him a warm welcome.

sepia forest by synapsesp27 "Very dark and full of awesome texture," says our suggester of sepia forest. I love the beams of light and the precious metal colors. ~synapsesp27's work is unique and doesn't seem to follow any trends or fads in the fractal community.

Mandelbulb 3D-Color Grid by RCPage Here is a wonderfully symmetrical piece called Mandelbulb 3D-Color Grid. It appears to be paper that has been cut and dipped in watercolor. I find this to be particularly special because the program used often produces futuristic, shiny and "hard" pieces, and *RCPage was able to coax out of it something soft, intimate and ancient. Check out the rest of his gallery for some great 3D fractals.

Wave to the Sky by micronomicon
Wave to the Sky by micronomicon Wave to the Sky. Does real fractal art have to come out of a computer program? No. If the math is accurate, it can be drawn by hand either in traditional media or on the computer. *micronomicon went the extra mile to ensure not only was his creation beautiful, but mathematically accurate and conceptually mind-blowing. Two words. FREAKIN' AMAZING.

composition florale by ktmini Of composition florale by *ktmini our suggester says, "Springy and verdant, this floral composition (which is indeed the perfect title for the fractal) looks like a precious English garden with marbles all around, and blooming liveliness everywhere!" I agree and adore the idea of a little fresh springtime in the midst of this chilly winter!

Black and White II by terforpova
Challenge 60 by terforpova Whether you're a hearts'n'flowers romantic or an anti-Valentine's protester, you're going to love Challenge 60. ~terforpova brings us a wonderful black and white fractal that looks like cut and woven paper strips composed into hearts, in classic fractal spirals. What's not to love?!

MB11 Fractal Fantasy 21 by Xantipa2
MB11 Fractal Fantasy 21 by Xantipa2 Suggester says, "Various patterns mixed together with a great palette usage, which is quite difficult and uncommon for M3D fractals; the natural rocks and slopes in this work all contribute to the overall sensation of diving in a steep canyon." MB11 Fractal Fantasy 21 by *Xantipa2

Could Be Trouble by HalTenny
Could Be Trouble by HalTenny When an artist's work just keeps on getting better and better, there Could Be Trouble! Yellow Pavilion by Fourpillars

Ticket to Ride by jim373
Ticket to Ride by jim373 Of Ticket to Ride by *jim373 our suggester says, "As soon as I saw this piece though I fell in love with it. It's an amazing abstract work with beautiful textures, a great use of a square-styled abstract background, and beautiful bubbles that fit perfectly with it. All in all I feel that the composition is amazing on this and it makes for an extremely wonderful work!"

MB3D_0006 by 0Encrypted0
MB3D_0006 by 0Encrypted0 MB3D_0006 by *0Encrypted0 inspired our suggester to write, "This fantastic bony structure represents an animal skeleton very closely and is, as such, a perfect depiction of difficult habitats: the Mandelbulb landscape extends far off in an imaginary desert, creating a fantastic Saharan atmosphere." Written better than anything I could come up with! Enjoy the lovely white tones and unusual shapes in this fantastic Mandelbulb.

111210_08 by 2old4gamez
111210_08 by 2old4gamez *2old4gamez says his piece 111210_08 is an exercise in color and shadow, and those parts of the work are wonderful. But what grabbed me were the shapes and the orientation thereof; I mean really, is this thing going to shoot cannonballs or squirt whipped cream? Can people slide down the tubes or will it suck you in? Does it pump out smooth alien beats or give people superpowers? This artist has a wonderful gallery full of such intriguing, mysterious creations. Stop by and have a look!

InBox by Naviretlav
InBox by Naviretlav One of the most oft suggested pieces I get in my InBox!!! As the suggester says, =Naviretlav makes the impossible seem possible here, and I love how you can actually see the fractal nature of the piece instead of only getting an interesting crop. Infinite hallways, descending shapes getting smaller and smaller, twisted forms, mysterious lights and impossible angles make this piece an absolute dream to stare into for hours!! Or, depending on your psyche....perhaps it is a nightmare...

fr121 by heretic-aaz
fr121 by heretic-aaz Our suggester says of fr121 by ~heretic-aaz, "This Rubik-like bulb has soft, watercolour tones that pair up with interesting smudged edges and a great combination of pastel colours. Something really unusual for a 3D fractal!" A long-time, kind of 'stealth' member of our fractal community, this artist has a terrifically eclectic gallery worth checking out.

Watch Your Step by PeterPan81 Watch Your Step as you trip into the sequel of Finding Neverland by ~PeterPan81. I hadn't planned on giving many people more than one DD during my time as GM, since there is so much awesome work to feature; but occasionally someone's work just continues to grow and develop so fantastically I can't help myself. The lighting, effects, blending, wonderful shapes and colors in this beautiful fractal manipulation all prove this artist has come a long way since his last feature. Be amazed!
