Here's a look back at July's DD's for the Fractal Art Gallery! Thanks to `Norke's very cool coding, I was able to make this super special article more than just a list of thumbs. :D Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Backdrop by *Pharmagician
This lovely fractal by *Pharmagician is comprised of familiar fractal shapes, yet the arrangement and level of detail is anything but common. Intriguingly composed and awash in late summer color, Backdrop will keep you gazing at it long into the afternoon.
Mobius Wave by ^SaTaNiA
The suggester of Mobius Wave by `SaTaNiA says, "I could get lost in details and forms here, and the colours are just perfect!" I myself enjoy the depth of the black holes and the lovely blue.
Wide awake by *LeXXe
Wide awake by *LeXXe left me starstruck. A gorgeous aurora borealis effect in shimmering blues and purples is background to a universe of lovely little details and textures. Let it take your breath away!
Evolution is a Bitch by ~NinthTaboo
This is my all-time favorite gnarl.=NinthTaboo has created a symphony of electric light and liquid flow, the gorgeous blue fading into white. Evolution is a Bitch will sweep you away on the current...but is it water or electricity?!
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey)
Fossil by ~j-diche
The suggester says of Fossil by ~j-diche, "A simple flame but with a strong contrast in the flame and gradient. A real smooth piece." I very much agree; the parchment-look background and wonderfully delicate spiral bring a sense of age to an otherwise modern piece.
apo-bipolar-linear2 by ~mahaon
~mahaon has created a mid-summer masterpiece in apo-bipolar-linear2. Deep green leaves, orange daylilies and mossy groundcover are delicately textured and surrounded by nice lines a la Art Deco.
New Jester - II by *kayandjay100
New Jester - II by *kayandjay100 is a wonder of fun shapes and deep but shiny colors. I especially love the contrast between the tiled mosaic background and the ribbony swirls in the foreground. Terrific lightplay!
Panoramifications by *parrotdolphin
Panoramifications by *parrotdolphin could earn a DD just for title alone! Fortunately, it is also an incredible fractal, featuring microbial shapes in infinite oozing form. I see cell division, bacterial flowers and a pleasing contrast in colors.
Opening The Rift by *Golubaja
*Golubaja has been Opening The Rift to the underworld in this exciting fractal! Surface textures show the thin veil between here and there and brilliant fire and jagged teeth show the pain that awaits.
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey, suggested by ^SaTaNiA)
Tapestry by ~Sc0t0ma
Isn't Tapestry by ~Sc0t0ma so cool and soothing? Don't you just want to use it for a pillow? Lovely soft greens and golds in ever-intricate patterns draw your eye like a well-planned quilt. And yet...there is still that element of infinite fractal mystery.
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey)
Juice by `rougeux
`creativ82 is a fractal gallery veteran who brings joy to the gallery whenever he posts. Juice was a winner in the Mandelbrot Fractal Art Contest 2009 and is a gorgeous contemporary piece that whispers "fractal" rather than screaming it. Squeeze all the beautiful citrusy goodness out of this wonderful work.
Sci-Fi Twist by ~Avantgarda
Incredible shine on a lovely wooden texture makes Sci-Fi Twist by ~Avantgarda look like a futuristic floor in a fancy house. Also suggested by ^SaTaNiA
Abstinence by *Spamkiller
With incredible texture and shine to spare, Abstinence takes the classic rotational up a level. *Spamkiller transports us into a dream dimension.
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey)
Tosca by ~lolilempika
As dramatic and beautiful as the opera of the same name, Tosca wows with rich colors and simple and delicate textures. *lolilempika brings the natural out of the mathematical.
the Origin by ~KPEKEP
~KPEKEP delves into firing synapses and neurons in the Origin, a brilliantly lit and detailed fractal that is sure to delight.
Kozmic Blues by ~Avalonwing
Full view is a must for ~Avalonwing's absolutely brilliant Kozmic Blues, a celebration of texture and sparkle that will give you a new appreciation for the beauty of math.
Night's Waltz by *svet-svet
!DUCATI27 was only the first of many to suggest *svet-svet's gorgeous fairy tale Night's Waltz. Gossamer flowers and deceptive depth make this a wonder to behold.
Transcend by ~OutThisLife
Transcend by ~OutThisLife inspires deep meditation with its intricate swirls and waves. Calm, earthy colors and yoga-like forms complete this wonderful fractal.
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey)
Innertwizzle III by ~mutequacky
Here's a bit of fractal graffiti in Innertwizzle III. =mutequacky gives us some thick fractal "lineart" and then fills it in with an exciting mosaic of colors on a bright background.
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey)
Triptych by *Liuanta
I love Triptych by =Liuanta. She combined different fractals with different gradients and still kept the form and flow. The depth and detail are lovely and the frames make it look museum ready. Enjoy!
Sierpinski Paradise by ~DarK--MatteR
Travel with me Sierpinski Paradise, a beautiful tourist stop in deep fractal space! Brought to you by fractal real-estate developer ~DarK--MatteR. The suggester says, "...this is perhaps his best yet!" I totally agree.
Sapphire Scarabs by =Velvet--Glove
=Velvet--Glove is a fractal jewelsmith. Her incredible Sapphire Scarabs goes beyond the standard circular Ultra-fractal jewels into actual faceted sapphires with intricate scarab-beetle settings. The composition is flawless.
.:Dark Reflections:. by =FractalEuphoria
Deep underground in a secret lair, a very glamorous supervillain comissioned *NorwegianAngel to create .:Dark Reflections:., an amazing mosaic backdrop. If you get invited to this pool, you may not leave alive!
Endeavors of No Consequence by ~Glimphor
Perhaps Endeavors of No Consequence by =Glimphor was slightly misnamed...this seems a very significant endeavor indeed! Deceptively simple in composition, full-view reveals deeply etched details and the brilliant color will blow you away.
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey)
Roots by ~FAIA-Fractals
The suggester says, "The colours are mysterious, and I can almost see it moving... a very intense fractal, which always keeps me staring in fascination." Roots by ~FAIA-Fractals has me fascinated as well-- it looks straight out of the House MD opening credits! Nerves, roots, whatever you see...it's amazing!
Jet Setter by ~milleniumsentry
Sit in the cockpit of a transport about to hit the hyperdrive! Jet Setter by ~milleniumsentry gives you the point of view of the captain of a starship. Sleek metallic structures, a brilliant universe of stars, and hypnotic composition make this an instant sci-fi classic.
Swackawash by ~Gygrazok
It takes a very practiced hand to make all your fractal structure out of negative space. ~Gygrazok is just such a practitioner, and his wonderful Swackawash leaves you awash in soft color and intricate form.
(Featured by `NatalieKelsey, suggested by ~AlphaDreaming)
Silver Bondage by *baba49
The simplicity in color of Silver Bondage by =baba49 lets you revel in all the intriguing details. Full view, because it's impossible to take it all in without being up close and personal!
Julian makeover by =Jimpan1973
I got no less than 5 suggestions for Julian makeover!! *n8iveattitude says "Holy crap! This one makes me want to throw my hands in the air and do a little dance!" `XyrusWorx says, "It is a perfectly executed julian-style fractal flame, both - aesthetically and technically - a perfect charm to the viewers eye." =Jimpan1973 is known far and wide for his ability to make the ugliest Ultra-Fractal formulas into incredible jeweled beauties...but give the man Apophysis and he can do the same thing with less tools! Don't miss out on the rest of his stunning gallery.
