Sukiyaki by DayStarArts
Ah, Sukiyaki! Our suggester says, "For the sake of making people happy, I search through ~DayStarArts gallery and found this beautiful piece of hers!" And doesn't it just? Crisp lines, subtle texture, warm flowy colors and little tiny spirals. A perfect way to entice spring to come to us.(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by guagapunyaimel)
Stranger by findzha
I always enjoy when deviants outside the fractal community bring me DD suggestions, and todays suggester admits, "I honestly have no experience whatsoever with fractals, but when I found...Stranger...I was impressed. I love the symmetry and how it feels like some kind of alien technology." ~findzha has a fun new gallery and a great instinct for fractal art.(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by LordOfPastries)
Celebration Day by Actionjack52
With an awesome palette of colors and interesting and amusing fractal shapes, Celebration Day truly is a party! Better yet, ~Actionjack52 made it as a gift. Check out the rest of his gallery, as he's a long-time deviant with a huge gallery of lovely work.(Featured by NatalieKelsey)
Mandel potpourri by pm-ark
Our suggester finds that Mandel potpourri by ~pm-ark is "straight out of an arcade game hall. This psychedelic Mandelbulb draws us into a warped dimension of buttons and spotlights, inviting the viewer to join in 'the game'... oh wait, I've lost." I like the citrusy colors and the feeling of being inside the pinball machine, myself.(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by heavenriver)
Victory by kanes
It's quite a Victory to bring such a classic fractal style to life in these vibrant colors with such a beautifully clean render! ~kanes has been a deviant for a long time, mostly appreciating others' work. Come appreciate her gallery full of gorgeous photos and fractals in lovely colors.(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by mintyy)
Bailar by Sophquest
It's International Women's Day, and there's no better way to celebrate it than to Bailar! Classic gnarl shapes writhe between unusual colors and intricate textures. Whether you can physically dance or must do so through your art, you can follow the shining example of `Sophquest. She has used her lovely artwork and influence in the community to give voice to the awareness of lupus, as well as having raised a family, owned a business, and taught herself fractal art. She's the epitome of why we celebrate IWD, so check out her gallery and celebrate her, too!(Featured by NatalieKelsey)
Plant leaf Type 004 by muzucya
Plant leaf Type 004 is a "great old-school example of Apophysis. The clean lines of this fractal really resemble the real natural look, in a rich, saturated palette." ~muzucya has a wonderful collection of digital fractals resembling natural fractal phenomena; such as clouds, nebulae and sand dunes.(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by Fiery-Fire)

detached - growth by interficios
Our suggester says, "I think this one is a fit, fine, and nice example of traditional media fractal. It is very well presented and have a magnificent artistic value." This one truly is unusual and wonderfully presented; rarely do you get to see a natural fractal and a flame fractal together in the same place. It's awesome to see them side-by-side in this way, so clearly alike and made so differently. detached - growth by *interficios(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by guagapunyaimel)
Mollari by alien-dreams
"Flowers and gems may be common, but Mollari has been blended so well, and manufactured in such an expert style, that it can really be called the work of a fractal goldsmith! Rubies shine on golden suns and the frame plays a great part in the work: it's like reinterpreting Klimt's expertise in a beautiful digital way." I'm a huge sucker for both fractal jewels and fractal flowers; I could not pass by *alien-dreams' exquisite work when it was suggested to me. Luckily the suggester had such a great description, because all I could do was drool!(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by heavenriver)
Alternative Universe by Fractal-Kiss
I want an apartment in this Alternative Universe, where it seems you get a great view and good music! ~Sophiiiii uses Incendia to great effect, making a fun architectural scene with good detail and a lovely background. Check out the rest of her fractally gallery as well!(Featured by NatalieKelsey)
NINE by TomWilcox
Can an old dog learn new tricks? Classic fractalist `TomWilcox proves the answer is yes with his new Mandelbulb 3D piece NINE. Our suggester states, "It reminds me of stacks of coffee cups and plates at a futuristic restaurant just waiting to be filled to the brim with steaming hot drinks. The colors are gorgeous and the lines are perfect within that dimension used in his fractal."(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by WDWParksGal)

Gold silver and steel by Fey-rine
Of Gold silver and steel by ~Fey-rine our suggester says, "It's an elegant and beautiful fractal. The flow and smooth colors really make this image even more elegant." I love the classic fractal dragon tails and the more innovative star shapes in between. Check out this talented artist's gallery for fractals as well as fantasy drawings!(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by guagapunyaimel)
Geometric splendor by ivankorsario
Suggester says, "The chosen gradient is beautiful, the depth in the fractal is amazing, the geometric shaping is unbelievable...It is just a fantastic piece of fractal art." Geometric splendor by *ivankorsario(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by one-tough-one)
Mexican Flu by mario837
Mexican Flu will make you sick with envy! *mario837 brings humor and skill into his Mandelbulb designs. I also loved the splash of color, I don't often see such brightness in these tech fractals.(Featured by NatalieKelsey)
Mei Hua by MaRoC68
Incredibly beautiful, nicely framed, and epic in scope, Mei Hua is as infused with hope as plum blossoms. I love the symbolism in the shapes and coloring; that spring is here and winter is fading into the background. *MaRoC68 intended this as a birthday gift for a friend, but it truly was a gift of hope for us all.(Featured by NatalieKelsey)
Cuckoo Pillars by allthenightlong
Cuckoo Pillars is "Exceptionally unique," according to our suggester, and I had to agree! ~allthenightlong gives us a dizzying array of impossible pillars with just a splash of color that makes you want to run through the maze to get to the sunset! There's a certain whimsy in her gallery that you don't often find in fractals. Check it out!(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by LaxmiJayaraj)

Millason Valley by DsyneGrafix
Millason Valley looks like a very dangerous place to fly your steamship! Expertly structured and ruffled by =DsyneGrafix, he also shows a terrific mastery of color in Mandelbulber, something many artists either don't bother with or haven't learned yet. I'm especially enamored of the sunrise in the background! It's this kind of attention to detail that earned this artist my interest and respect.(Featured by NatalieKelsey)
Squadron Spiral by innac
Our suggester calls Squadron Spiral by *innac "a real eye-catcher!" I'm lovin' the spirals in every cube and the illusion of 3D. It's nice to know people are still pulling out Fractal Explorer, because there is so much you can do with this versatile program.(Featured by NatalieKelsey, suggested by baba49)
Sunset Lullaby by lindelokse
Sunset Lullaby is one gorgeous, epic fractal! *lindelokse once again brings every element of a truly artistic fractal to one piece and brings it to life before your eyes. Subtle background textures begin it, gradient and shading progression draw your eye, perfect fractal shaping and composition give it bones, stark black detail stand out against the color and brilliant tiny white star-like details breathe the magic of life into it. There are many iterations of these parameters around that you will love, but there is nothing of this caliber anywhere. See it for yourself in full-view.(Featured by NatalieKelsey)
Hello?
Knock, knock? Anyone here? Is this thing on? I can't tell if I'm speaking into the ether, since most of you were here for fractal art, and that's obviously not been happening. But in case anyone cares about what's currently happening:
I have been working on a flowers/vegetables farm. It's very awesome and rewarding work, and I love it!
My kids are 15, 14, 13, and 7. They are busy and amazing people and I can't believe I had anything to do with how they're turning out.
My husband hasn't changed. At all.
So life is terrific, if a little hectic. How are all of you? What is up with the fractal scene these days? Anything amazing? I hope to be
Long time, no see!
Hi everyone! Thanks for the birthday wishes and the comments, faves, and watches. I'm sorry I've been gone for almost a year. I'll be ready to come back on a limited basis, soon. I hear your new GM's are doing a spectacular job, which is totally awesome. Miss you all and hope all is well.
Natalie
Project Educate: Fractal Week! A Great Success!
:bulletblue:Project Educate: Fractals-- the results of our community's hard work!:bulletblue:
We had a terrific Fractal Week for Project Educate last week. I felt guilty at first that the community had to "do my job for me," as I only had vague plans and ideas with catchy titles, but then I watched as the community spirit poured out and my vague plans and ideas were transformed into something totally awesome and added upon by fantastic ideas I hadn't even thought of! :typerhappy:
Did anyone outside of the community learn about our medium? I don't know. I hope so. Did our community get to know each other better? Yes! :w00t: Did beg
Project Educate...NEXT WEEK!!!
:bulletred::bulletred::bulletred: DD Suggestion Box Temporarily CLOSED!!! :bulletred::bulletred::bulletred:
Um, yes. I am very, VERY behind with the Daily Deviation features. I am sitting on over 100 DD suggestions; which means were I to approve each and every one of them, I would have enough for every single day between now and when my term as GM is over, plus some. Since you guys and I both know that is unlikely, I will probably open suggestions up again at the end of this month or in the beginning/middle of May. SO...go ahead and keep browsing or bookmark or favorite things that you find that you love, just don't note them to me yet, okay
