Well, I did a live tut session here: [link] but it was kinda a disaster, lol. Your best bet is to grab my flamepack here: [link] and play with the flower parameters inside. Hope that helps! Thanks for the comments!

Easy on the eyes, very smooth, great range of high and low contrasts, nothing too intense or dull, nice depth, seamless color variation.

I'll fav that!

Beautiful work and I love your style. Someone long ago told me the sincerest form of flattery is imitation, after I saw a lady with the same dress on as I was wearing. I think the same goes with beautiful fractals. When one sees a beauty, one tries to see how it is done. Looking forward to the tutorial.

I do have another question. Why do I get such noise?

I set everything to the values you stated. I got nothing like your example.

Later I decreased the Gama as well as decreased the values of the radial blur. This helped some.

I got a fairly decent looking first flower, but tweaked it more and lost the whole thing.

I will definately be working on this more. Where can I get the transcript of your tutorial?

Thanks, you did a great job. I just don't have the understanding of what various values accomplish.

the noise is because of the blur. Blur is just a messy variation, no matter what kind of blur you use. However, if you view it at a higher quality, or render it at very high qualities, the noise solidifies as the pixels fill all the way in. I use a working view of 15 quality, and then up it to 100 to make sure it fills in how I want. If it looks good at 100 quality, I render it somewhere around 10K quality, so that it's solid when I have my final version. but gamma certainly can change the look as well, also, the color you choose, light or dark etc, will have an effect. drop the weight a little, or up the weight of the first transform. these are all things to try when tweaking.

Don't forget to save your parameters as you go. Then you can tweak but still be able to go back and get something you had before if you mess it up or get two very different results you want to keep. Keep tweaking and trying different things, as you go you'll figure out what the different things are for.

Thank you! :D

It's mostly a spherical transform and a radial blur transform. Other stuff gets added as you want them to be more complicated.
